Time to send Rush Limbaugh out to the woodshed - or is that Dylan's Outhouse?

Okay, I got "wind" of this story earlier today but couldn't figure out the best way to post it. After all it's St. Paddy's Day! The part about the neighbors installing five industrial-sized fans to blow the undesirable aromas back to the other side of the fence in Malibu was just about enough for me. One wonders if Dylan even lives there anymore.

But then I switched on WMAL this afternoon as I was getting ready for an appointment and there is Rush, telling the story, but thinking that Mr. Dylan is some left-wing commie pinko guy. Big Time Oops, Mr. Rush. I rushed off an e-mail to the Rushbone (what is that he calls himself anyway?) saying that a man who makes this commercial (see below) is certainly anything but green.

RWB has written an excellent send-off here. I do agree with RWB that Rush is right to point out the hypocrisy of "the carbon footprint left by the five industrial-size fans that the neighbors are using to blow the chemical air back at the bard of Hibbing." Read RWB's entire post here, which includes the Rush transcript from today's show.

And while we're at it, here's the commercial that only Bob Dylan would make when everyone else was buying their overpriced hybrids.

NOTE: The photo earlier in this post (not the old outhouse) shows a chemical services truck leaving Bob Dylan’s property in Malibu after emptying a portable toilet hidden behind a storage container. Rush sure can get things done. I guess the industrial-sized fans are next.

You have to admit the "blowin' in the wind" jokes are pretty funny.

I wonder if the breeze from the neighbors' industrial fans could be considered an Idiot Wind?

The net result of this story for me is be reminded once again how many references to the weather there are in Dylan's songs.

Beach, that's one of the best comments I've seen. Are you on Twitter yet? That first line would be an excellent Tweet.
