My favourite was the time when the Cone of Silence was broken, so they had to use the Portable Cone of Silence. It was a large plastic dumbell, and each person had to fit his head into one of the globes at either end, and talk through the center "bar". It didn't work any better than the big Cone, and then they couldn't get out of it at the end.
Okay, my favorite broken cone of silence was when they each had a box fill of cards with words, and Chief and Max were searching through to find the proper card, it of course worked about as well as your example.
